NJGCA notice of bylaws meeting

Dear NJGCA Member,

This email is to formally inform you of proposed changes to the association’s bylaws. State law requires members of an association be made aware of any changes to a trade association’s governing document. 

These changes reflect the opinion of the Bylaws Committee of the Board of Directors. Most of the amendments are designed to reflect various changes that have occurred since the last changes to the bylaws back in 2012 (such as the elimination of references to fax machines). Other changes give more power to the Board of Directors and its elected members rather than to the President of the organization. 

You can read the proposed changes by clicking HERE. Language that is being newly added to the By-laws is in red and underlined. Language in the current bylaws that is being removed is highlighted yellow with strikethrough.

As per the current bylaws, the language was approved unanimously by the Board on September 19th. The changes will be voted before the regular quarterly meeting of the Board of Directors on October 23rd, at 12pm sharp. Members in good standing are allowed to vote on the proposed changes. The meeting will be held at NJGCA Headquarters, 615 Hope Road, Building 2, 1st Floor, Eatontown NJ 07724.
